UPDATE: Howl & Prowl Halloween Event Rescheduled

Pet Pantry’s 10th Annual Howl & Prowl Rescheduled for Nov 5, 1-4pm

Pet Pantry Warehouse has rescheduled its 10th annual Howl and Prowl to Sunday, Nov 5 from  1:00pm-4:00pm in the lot by Greenwich Commons, 290 Greenwich Ave in central Greenwich.

Pet Pantry, a family owned business specializing in quality pet food and products, encourages everyone to enjoy the free event in support of Adopt-A-Dog.

More than 15 pet food brands are sponsors, and the event features a costume contest for both people and especially their pets, with prizes totaling $600 in Pet Pantry Warehouse gift certificates.

Banksville Halloween Party at the Banksville Community House, Saturday, Oct 28, 3:00pm to 6:00pm

Head to Banksville for some ghoulish games, freaky fun, and frightening food. There will be a hayride and bouncy house, candy and a DJ! Cost: $10 per child. Costumes encouraged. Bake sale available. The Banksville Community House is located at 12 Banksville Road.

Halloween Roller Skate Night – Friday, Oct 27

Did you know you can go Roller Skating at the Old Greenwich Civic Center, 90 Harding Road in Old Greenwich on Friday nights from 7:00pm to 9:30pm?

The admission is just $10 and includes roller skate rentals that are safe for the gym floor.

There will be a special Halloween Roller Skate night on October 27. More information here.

Other upcoming roller skating nights at Eastern Greenwich Civic Center are December 8, 26, and 29. Jan 5, 12, and 19. Feb 2, 9, 13, 16, and 23. March 18 and 23. April 6, 10,  and 27. May 18 and 25. June 1, 8, and 15.

Junior League of Greenwich to Host Halloween Trick-or-Treaters

The Junior League of Greenwich is opening its doors to children of all ages on  Halloween, from 5:00pm to 8:30pm.

The Junior League of Greenwich’s house, located at the corner of Putnam Avenue and Park Place in Greenwich, will be open for for trick-or-treaters. Whether you are a kid, parent, or pet we will have a treat for you! The Junior League of Greenwich has been bettering the community for nearly 60 years. It is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained individuals.

Haunted Candle Light Open House at Knapp Tavern

Sunday, October 29 from 4:00 to 7:00pm.  Knapp Tavern Museum – Putnam Cottage is located at 243 East Putnam Ave in Greenwich. This is a kid friendly event run by High School Docents and Children of the American Revolution (CAR).  There will be a Headless Horseman, Colonial/Educational Crafts, a Bake Sale and Mini Tours (first floor). Ghost Stories will be told by candlelight at 6:00pm, along with refreshments.  $5 per person / $20 per family The event is sponsored by the Putnam Hill Chapter of the American Revolution.

Knights of Columbus Halloween Bash to Benefit Circle of Care

Halloween is on a Tuesday this year and there are a variety of activities across town throughout the week.

On Oct 28, the Knights of Columbus is hosting their Adult Halloween Charity Fundraiser from 7:00 pm to 11:00pm at the the K of C Council 37 West Putnam Ave in Greenwich.

The event will benefit the Circle of Care, a group that supports children with cancer and their families from day of diagnosis through treatment and beyond, providing direct practical, emotional and financial support. Until no family has to hear the words, “your child has cancer,” Circle of Care will be there to support, guide, and provide inspiration to move forward – wherever the journey leads.

The event is free and open to the public. Come in costume. Or not. There will be door prizes, raffles and music.

Greenwich Land Trust “Lantern Stroll”
