ImageRound Hill Community Church is hosting “Food & Folk” on Sunday, March 9, from 5:00pm to 9:00pm to benefit Simply Smiles.

ImageSimply Smiles is a Connecticut based not-for-profit organization dedicated to putting smiles on impoverished children’s faces. From the desolate prairies of a Cheyenne River Reservation in South Dakota, to the remote mountains of Oaxaca, Mexico, the organization provides food, clothing, shelter, medical care, education, infrastructure, jobs, pride, dignity, hope, and solutions.

The meal for this event will be prepared by Gabriela Chávez Hernández who grew up in Oaxaca, Mexico and became the first recipient of a Simply Smiles college scholarship to study in the United States. Gabriela recently earned her associate’s degree in business at Norwalk Community College and is currently completing her bachelor’s degree at Sacred Heart University.

Tickets are $25 each and all proceeds benefit Simply Similes. Click here to make your reservation.
