Online Fundraiser for William Dym Hits Six-Figures

A GoFundMe page has been set up for the 20-year-old William Dym, whose sister and parents died last month in a murder-suicide at the Dym residence in Pound Ridge, NY.

William, who was away at USC when the tragedy took place, had previously attended Brunswick School in Greenwich. His sister, Caroline, attended Convent of the Sacred Heart in Greenwich.

The page, created by family friend Leila Cohen raised over $105,000 from 718 donors as of Sept 7. The funds will be put in a trust for William to “bring him comfort by helping to prevent any unforeseen financial pressures during his time of grief.”

“While we can never heal his heartache, we can bring him comfort,” said Leila Cohen on the GoFundMe page for William Dym, adding, “Join us by helping to ensure that he can focus on healing without worrying about the future.”

On August 25, Steven Dym, 56, allegedly took the life of his wife Loretta, 50, and daughter, Caroline, 18, before taking his own life.
