This year marks the eighth annual Experience the Sound event, which includes a chance to tour clam and oyster boats at the docks! And, fantastic news, the Bruce Museum’s Seaside Center is set to open for the 2014 season on Sunday, June 22.

And, new this year, participants will be able to sample fresh clams and oysters from local waters.

Raw bar hosts will be local commercial shellfishing companies Hemlock Farms, Atlantic Clam Farms, and Copps Island Oysters from 1 to 4 p.m. while supplies last, at the docks at the Old Greenwich Yacht Club.

With the backdrop of Greenwich Cove, our aim is to expand the local community’s awareness of the coastal marine life, nature, outdoor recreational pursuits, and the environment by showcasing local organizations and the educational institutions that care for and promote them.
