Update: Fashion on the Ave is rescheduled due to rain. The event will get going at Wednesday, Sept. 16 at 5:30pm.
The runway show starts at 6pm.
This year, event organizer, Geri Corrigan’s red carpet runway will slide a block further south on Greenwich Avenue, running the block from Elm St, past Greenwich Common to the intersection with Havemeyer and Arch Street.
The live runway show will again mix professional models with Greenwich residents for an all-ages evening of good fun.
This year Corrigan has joined forces with Paul Master-Karnik and Emily Ragsdale of Greenwich Arts Council, headquartered at 299 Greenwich Ave. The Arts Council is happy to host the fashion show outside their headquarters, and Corrigan announce the models and their designers outside the historic building.
“I like to utilize every square inch of our property,” Master-Karnik recently told GFP. “There is a real rapport between art and fashion design.”
