Arch Street Teen Center was the venue for a Saturday night concert featuring Kalimur and Sarah Mathes. The concert was a benefit for The Emily Catherine Fedorko Foundation.
Sarah Mathes, a 17-year-old at Greenwich High School, has been singing and playing piano since she was three. She is a part of the choir at Greenwich High School and hopes of one day making a career of music through singing/songwriting. Alex Gibbons, a Junior at Brunswick and Co-President of the Teen Board at Arch Street, accompanied Mathes on piano. Gibbons, who has has studied piano for over 10 years, is part of the Jazz Band at Brunswick.
“We’re so excited to have a concert at Arch Street that can give back to a wonderful organization like ECFF,” said Hernan Donoso, Associate Director at Arch Street.
“Kalimur is a word that I came up with out of the blue one day. It inherently means nothing, but is original, unique and fresh,” explained Brett Steinberg of the name of his band. Listen to the music of Kalimur here.
About The Emily Catherine Fedorko Foundation is a family foundation that provides funding to spread education, advocacy and awareness of boating and water sport safety for adults and children. The foundation will also honor areas of interest in Emily’s life including gifts for academic and athletic endeavors.
