PHOTOS: Allegra’s Nutcracker to be Performed at SUNY Purchase

Allegra Dance Studio is set to perform The Nutcracker at SUNY Purchase on Sunday, Dec. 14 at the school’s dance lab.

This is the fifth year Allegra has staged The Nutcracker, according to co-director Carrie Paige, who said the roster of dancers totals 90, with many performers hailing from Greenwich. The opportunity to perform in the holiday favorite appeals broadly, with dancers participating from as far to the west as Harrison, NY and as far into Connecticut as Monroe.

“The dancers have an experience of a lifetime while having a lot of fun doing it,” said Ballet Mistress Emily Glaze Isidori. “The experience will last a lifetime and is the dream of every little Ballerina.”

Showtimes are Sunday, Dec. 14 at 1:00pm and 4:00pm. The performances will be in the Dance Lab Theater at SUNY Purchase (lower level of the dance building.) Click here to shop for tickets.
