There will be so much to please the eye and pique your senses as you explore the beautiful Greenwich gardens selected for display. Two are in-town properties within walking distance of each other, the first providing a private sanctuary rich in texture, form and flowering color with subtle fragrance to attract pollinators. The other with welcoming front garden and private rear garden of contrasting styles with art wall, linear fire feature and spa. These two properties inspire the trend towards compact planting and care.

Contrast them with our next two properties. A majestic mid country estate whose architecture mirrors the elaborate, formal and classically based Colonial Revival “Country House” style with long views, garden ornaments, hedged rooms softened by flowering plants, parterre, spectacular mounded evergreens and climbing roses. These three gardens showcase the genius of Doyle Herman Design Associates.

The fourth is a glorious baronial estate on the western side of town, set on a hillside with ranging views over surrounding countryside, sweeping driveways, a gorgeous home infused with the passion of the owners for the best in quality and style. Masterfully designed gardens surround the beautiful pool, pool house and patios.

In Greenwich back country sits a magnificent horse farm with immaculate stables, ingenious transport facilities, riding trails and the only indoor covered ring in Greenwich.

Majestic trees have been transplanted to frame the spectacular new home, with ornamental shrubs and the owner’s very personal vegetable garden. Many apple trees line the driveway, all designed with meticulous detail by Conte & Conte, LLC. An incredibly beautiful place of wonder.

These properties can be viewed in any order and will take time to explore to their fullest.

And there is more…….

For our Benefactors and Patrons the GEC is hosting an elegant breakfast in a magnificent setting, a regally proportioned guesthouse on the most beautiful 13 acre estate in the Golden Triangle. Fabulous gardens designed by Charles Stick extend throughout and can be explored at your leisure.

We look forward to welcoming you to our 2016 Grandiflora Garden Tour.
