Back in March, eager artists and their friends and family gathered at the Greenwich Arts Council event at the Bendheim Gallery to see what businesses selected their artwork to display during the 19th annual Art to the Avenue.

Art to the Ave will run from May 5 – 30, 2016. Opening night  set for Thursday, May 5, from 5:30-8:00pm. The evening will launch a truly spectacular show and much anticipated community event with musicians and street performers fill the streets.

Most stores host receptions for the hundreds of visitors who attend to preview the work of over 120 artists. The art selected by the retailers remains in place through Memorial Day, so there is ample time for viewers to experience the “gallery” that downtown Greenwich becomes. All the art on display is for sale, and a 30% tax deduction for the purchaser benefits the Greenwich Arts Council.
