A group photography exhibit was hung and admired on Sunday evening at the Art & Sound Gallery in Greenwich. 19 photographers, each with a different style and view, showed their works for the community to view. Wine was poured, and tasty, light bites were served at the crowded event.
Art Powers Jr., the gallery owner, who opened his concept in December explained, “this show gives local artists the chance to share their vision.”
Powers enjoys promoting the arts in his audio visual store, where he showcases whole house automation. He has been creating and building custom entertainment systems for 35 years, and now, for his latest show, his walls are dotted with artistic photography.
His new retail concept, “an audio visual store in an art gallery” is a seamless connection as he presents the link between sight, sound and spirit to visitors.
The Greenwich photography exhibit was curated by Art & Sound’s director of community outreach and curator Audrey Nefores. The content of the images have great variety and many images showcase people and places around Greenwich.
The show features a range of photographic forms from digital photography, mixed media photo-collage, photographs printed on glass, metal and canvas to silver gelatin prints.
Art & Sound Gallery is located at 101 Mill Street, Greenwich, CT
